What happens to a team that suddenly can't even BUY a win? How can two really good teams that played well all season suddenly collapse into a heap of .....?
What a shame for them and their respective fans. What a break for Tampa and St. Louis. At least the Rays and Cardinals can't be said to have "backed in to the playoffs." They both were on winning streaks. Now they have to try to maintain that in the first round of playoffs. Wild card teams have won it all before. Personally, I give the Rays a better chance than the Cardinals.
